Easter in Marco Island

Easter 2014 in Marco Island

Easter is all about spending time with the ones you love, and giving thanks for all that we have. And we don't know about you, but there is nothing that smells more like Easter than the aroma of your favorite foods like prime rib, potatoes, and desserts. And nothing sounds more like Easter than the talking and laughing of your friends and family.

If you're in Marco Island this Easter weekend, and don't feel like slaving away in the kitchen, let someone else do it! Capt Brien's Seafood and Raw Bar will be open from 10am - 11pm offering all of your holiday favorites, open for parties of all size.

Whether you have the holiday at your house, or go out for Easter lunch/dinner, make sure you save room for later. Not just for dessert, but for some hilarious comedy. Off The Hook Comedy Club will be hosting America's Got Talent star Tom Cotter, this Easter weekend. Tom blew judges away on the show, and was the runner up of the seventh season, and led to regular appearances on the Howard Stern Show. Tom also starred in WE Entertainment Network's show "TWO FUNNY," alongside his comedian wife Kerri Louise, who will also be performing Easter weekend with Tom.

It's the small things

As I was driving home the other day from work I was thinking about all the laundry I had to do when I got home, and then I remembered that I no longer had to go to a community washing machine but I had one in my very own apartment! I was probably a little more excited than I should've been but still...

Everyone knows how awful it is when you're carrying your laundry across the courtyard and you keep thinking you've dropped something out of your basket,  (especially your underwear) so you're constantly looking behind you to make sure everything is still in there. What a relief (*Sigh*) when you make it back with everything in tact and not hanging up for everyone to see.

It really is the small things in life that matter so hope you enjoy this Memorial Day and remember that!

It's Hump Day!

It's hump day which means the weekend has almost arrived. Here's a little motivation to help you get over the hump and make it to the weekend!

http://www.bestmotivationalposters.com

For those of you who don't know what hump day is I thought I'd clear it up by getting a definition from a very credible source so here you go:

Wednesday, or the hump of the week
The absolute BEST day of the week, the day of maximum hope that maybe, you might make it out of this week alive. A particularly good hump day can last you the rest of the week, and by Doomday morning (Monday) you survive by anticipating hump day. Nothing goes wrong on hump day

Most other days can be defined by hump day. Tuesday is the day before hump day. Thursday is one day after hump day. Except Friday is WOOOH!!! FREEDOM!!! Day, Saturday is Mostly Hungover day, and Sunday is PreDoom day.

Good luck with the rest of the week everyone and if you call 239.389.6900 and say "Hump day" you'll get free tickets to this weekends show!!!
